Careers

Supporting students with Special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) into college and careers requires a multi-faceted approach that includes early intervention, tailored support services, and collaborative partnerships.

Parent / carer involvement is crucial in a child’s career guidance journey, influencing their choices and success. Engaged parents / carers can provide support, encouragement, and practical advice, fostering informed decisions and boosting motivation.  By actively participating, parents can help their children explore career options, identify strengths, and navigate the path to a fulfilling career.

Talking to your child about careers is important. Not only when they are making big decisions, such as what to do when they leave school, but also throughout their school lives and beyond. It is important to be prepared and feel confident when they come to you for advice.
