Pupil Premium Summary 2024-25
Pupil Premium is extra funding given by the government to schools in England to improve the education outcomes
of disadvantaged pupils, specifically those who are eligible for free school meals, have been in care, or are from
service families. The funding helps address the additional challenges these students face, enabling them to reach
their full potential by supporting the school in providing resources, interventions, and staffing to meet their needs.
As a school, we have responsibility to use this funding to ‘narrow the gap’ for this specific cohort of learners.
Because we are an independent school some local authorities include Pupil Premium within the funding allocation
for the educational placement.
